At the center of great healthcare is, and has always been, the singular connection between the clinician and the patient. Technologies, processes, and settings may have changed but the clinician/patient relationship remains the key to a genuine interaction and a remarkable experience. 

We, at KOKEA Group, have spend years working within healthcare organizations focusing on helping clinicians develop skills vital to that end.

It has been our experience that the most effective activity to truly support development of patient interactions is in-person shadow coaching.  No other activity has the coach and the participant fully immersed in and experiencing the same environment.

Mark Kelley

Founder, President and Shadow Coach

Mark is the founder of Kokea Group and an experienced healthcare executive with 10 years of patient experience work. A gifted patient experience “shadow coach”, Mark has worked with private practice groups and individual clinicians to tweak or overhaul approaches to patient interactions. A focus on both individual and team strengths and opportunities offers a broad lens which supports elevating both staff member and clinician performance.
